Top 40 who missed top 24 now eligible for 2009
July 27th, 2008In years past, “Idol” did something I thought was unfair and locked out some potentially great talent. They’d make it so folks who made the top 30 to top 44 were ineligible to compete again even if they missed the top 10 to top 24. In other words, some folks we barely see (and that’s fairly common) get screwed while folks who make it to Los Angeles and the top 150 or so but get cut early (see Gina Glocksen) get multiple shots.

Idols continue to sing through their 15 minutes
July 27th, 2008There can be only one winner of “American Idol” each season, as fans of Fox’s ratings behemoth know. And for every Carrie Underwood, and, perhaps, Kelly Clarkson, there is a LaKisha Jones, a Jon Peter Lewis and an Anwar Robinson, to name just three of the also-rans from the first six seasons of the show who will appear at the Rrazz Room over the next nine weeks.

Jordin Sparks is The American Idol
May 23rd, 2007
Jordin Sparks is The American Idol. Tonight, before a packed house at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, CA, Jordin Sparks fulfilled the destiny we predicted on April 18. She out sung and out performed beat boxer Blake Lewis.
Jordin excelled past all of her competitors with her voice, her kindness and her passion for singing. Plus, the 17-year-old Glendale teen has given a new reason for Arizonan’s to be proud of their state. Sorry Sheriff Joe (Arpaio).
In just a few weeks Jordin and the rest of the top 10 American Idols from season 6 will go on tour. The American Idol Live Tour will kick off on July 6 in Sunrise, FL.
Jordin Sparks will come home to Glendale, AZ on July 18 at Jobing.com Arena.
The tour lasts until September 22 when the American Idols wrap it up in Manchester, NH at Verizon Wireless Arena.
